My career in graphic design began in 1998, when I joined a reputed advertising firm in Karachi. After a two-year stint as junior graphic designer, I moved to one of the largest Internet service provider CYBERNET, where I gained hands-on experience in interacting with diverse facets of Information Technology. As a dedicated and integral member of the Software Development Section there, I worked for a highly diversified Software/Web Development market, which boasted a highly distinguished foreign and domestic clientele. This was in addition to the hi-tech projects we accomplished for our parent organization—the Lakson Group of Companies. After having left CYBERNET in April 2007, I joined the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) in Abu Dhabi, a premier and internationally acclaimed policy making institution. I joined the Website section at the ECSSR, where I am presently responsible for the creative upkeep and updating of Website design. The job also entails other design-related expertise, such as providing graphics and UIs for Web Applications, including off-set print jobs. |
